The original from which this version has been prepared consists of a set of 68 photographs bound with a white ribbon. They were produced at the end of the war in the same mobile photographic laboratory which had produced many thousands of photographs during the previous two years. The laboratory (which, according to Jimmy Taylor, was the invention of Michael Spender and his team) was on three lorries which were parked in a line. The sides folded down and the gaps were covered by tents to make one continuous space. < Sorry, your browser does not support inline SVG.
